Upgrades work similarly to titles in the Supercell family, with XP gained after each battle, and further customization is offered to players using upgrade slots.
The game currently boasts eight factions: Necrons, Adepta Sororitas, Black Legion, Astra Militarum, Black Legion, Death Guard, Orks, Black Templars, and Ultramarines, with each offering up unique units and upgrade paths. The story is penned by famed Warhammer writer Matt Forbeck and plans are in place for more factions to be added in time.
